We've wanted visit Uncle Ted & Aunt Amanda for a long time, and figured this was as good of a time as ever. We set off for Washington, DC on Thursday August 30th, 2012 as our last vacation of the summer. Leaving at 3pm, we stayed over night just south of Virgina and arrived in DC around 1pm on Friday. Splitting the trip was just what we needed to arrive well rested and in pleasant moods.
Shortly after arriving Ted, Tim's older brother, took us to a very cool park called The Yards. It has what Isabella calls a "ginormous" kiddy pool and they had a wonderful time. We couldn't have asked for better weather or company as the night really set the tone for a very enjoyable weekend.
