Precious moments
Since the second day of our garage sale was rained out last week, we opened for business this Saturday. Wanting to teach them a little about free enterprise, we let them have a lemonade stand. They were still extremely shy and a bit unfamiliar with the proper etiquette, but they picked it up. This video is of their first sale:
In other big news Timmy started pulling up this week, just shy of his 9 month milestone.
Here it is on video:
Abigail actually fell asleep at the dinner table tonight, a sign that we've done a bit much.

Timmy's first visit to Texas
One of the few high school friends I keep in contact with, Elva Lambert, got married in March so between that and my dad's birthday I hopped on a plane to Texas. One of the first things I do when I land in the Lone Star state is hit up the closest Whataburger. There is something about a Whataburger sandwich that just makes me smile. I knew I was in Texas when I was driving down the interstate between San Antonio and Corpus Christi jamming to George Straight's I am A Fireman with Whataburger on my breath. :)
One of the things I associate with my home town are the refineries, as soon as you see those smoke stacks you know your home. It's odd that I have fond memories of such ascetically unpleasing things, but living in the suburbs we made countless trips back and forth to town where they are lined up one after another. At night it's a spectacle of lights, one that is forever etched in my memory.
Timmy and I were greeted with open arms by parents. It always amuses me how much of an after thought I became once grand kids came into the picture.
Aside from the wedding and spending time with my mom's sister Tia Toti, the highlight was when my fathers sister, Tia Lala, brought her family to meet Timmy. Here are a few pictures of their visit:
Jacob was so sweet with his new little cousin. It was great seeing him let loose at my parents home.
This is my cousin Janie's family. Janie and Mike use to let me stay at their home when I would come visit from College Station. They only had two children then, but were so cool. They always knew how to have a fun time, and this visit was no different. They now have five very well behaved children, their teenage daughter even offered to watch the little girls while us adults went shopping!!!
Here are Arianna and Alethea, the two youngest, holding their second cousin.
Here is a picture of my beautiful Aunt. It was a wonderful visit which made it difficult to leave, but I was anxious to get back to Tim and my sweet girls.
Cary & Aimee - soon to be the Masi's
Here is my first little dabble into Photography with my rinky dink (compared to the more advanced Canon Rebels) camera. Thanks to Photoshop Elements and a few free actions on line, I think they came out ok.
Although still adjusting to the idea if a life without Aimee so close, we couldn't be happier for her.
Easter Egg Hunt @ Lake Lanier
We rarely pass up an invitation to the lake. The girls love riding in Mr. Cary's boat, and we enjoy the company. On Easter Sunday, we headed up to Buford, GA after a quick stop at Waffle House.
The lake was a wonderful place to celebrate Easter. We are very thankful that we have such a wonderful Aunt and future Uncle in our lives.
It's amazing how fast Isabella can point out a Waffle House. You can tell it's a place we frequent.
The girls love hanging out with Mr. Cary on his boat. They both got a chance to drive but this was the first time Isabella seemed to know what she was doing.
We were a little nervous about taking Timmy on the boat, but he was a pro. He didn't even skip a beat and actually slept most of the way.
We beached off Lake Lanier Park & set up a fun little egg hunt. Abigail's little expressions crack me up, you'd think that this was the first egg hunt she'd participated in. That couldn't be further from the truth, we've had dozens of egg hunts prior to this. It's like an extended game of hide and seek, keeping them entertained for at least 15 minutes.
I may have mentioned in years past that Aimee and I grew up with cascarones, confetti filled Easter Eggs. The grown ups hid them, and we'd run around cracking the eggs we found over each other's head. This is the first year that the girls actually got into it, even Tim & Cary enjoyed themselves.
The lake was a wonderful place to celebrate Easter. We are very thankful that we have such a wonderful Aunt and future Uncle in our lives.
Beautiful Fall Day
It's been while since we've played outside. With Timmy not sitting up so well, then the mosquitos and or heat we just haven't gotten outside much. Today was a glorious fall day and we just couldn't pass it up. Timmy is about 8.5 months, crawling all over the place, babbling like a champ, and still the perfect baby.
Isabella and Abigail, my girly girls, love their little brother. He apparently loves his big sister's hand.
Although Abigail is in a pink tutu, she loves to get dirty. This picture reminds me of a country song called "A Beautiful Mess".

Gig'em Aggies!!
We watched our first family Texas A&M game with Timmy. The game of the century they called it, Texas A&M vs Alabama. What a game it's turned out to be!!! Isabella really got into it, while Abigail just sat backed and watched her mom go through a roller coaster of emotions. Timmy even wore his game attire...Gig'em Aggies!!!!

Clemi moves to Atlanta
Clemi, the Walker family Pug, made the move from Washington, DC to Atlanta. Technically her owners, Ted & Amanda, made the move but we won't correct Isabella & Abigail. They love their canine cousin.
One of the first times we had two four legged friends in our home, I can't believe Timmy is already crawling at 8 months.
Clemi enjoyed a little afternoon R&R with the girls.
The girls wanted to give her a little exercise so around the block we went.
Clementine is a very sweet dog. I kept telling Tim that we needed to find a dog like her, but then I realize the crazy which makes up our home and think that it's best to wait a few years.
