Tim and his brothers were out at my fathers place for the weekend, so Laine and I set out for a girls day out. I had a crazy idea of going to Elligay Apple Festival, so off we went. I had the illusions of walking through an apple orchard, tasting various kinds of apples, and all sorts of fun activities. Rather it turned out to be a crafts festival with lots of food that if consumed in large quantities would lead to an imminent heart attack. After an hour and a half we ended up at Hillshire Farms which is where we should have started off. They had all the great food that the festival had, but the kids had a wonderful time. Here are a few pictures of our day:

Mary Claire and Abigail jumping on the giant pillow. This was by far their favorite activity, it was brutal getting them out of there.
My girls on a bull, they also got to milk a cow & go on a hay ride. They saw lots of apples that had fallen to the ground, but the orchard was pretty much picked through. We didn't even bring home a single apple...long story but it's ok we can goto the farmers market any time!
