Aimee & Isabella cut their hair for Pantene Beautiful Lenghts

Aimee has been growing her hair out for some time now, and had decided to donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lenghts.  Isabella, my soon to be 5 year old, wanting to be like Tia decided she wanted to do the same.  So right after the wedding, we set out to a Salon in the Virginia Highlands called Vivid for a complimentary hair cut.

There was a little bit of hesitation on Isabella's part, but once we talked about some benefits of short hair she got back on board.

She donated a total of 10 inches and Aimee 14.  I can't get over how grown up my little baby looks.
We're all very proud of this brave sweet little girl.

Update: I had to scoot out of the hair salon because of Timmy, and didn't get a chance to take a picture of Aimee & Isabella.  So as soon as she got back from the Honeymoon, I snapped one.  So with out further adieu...

Random Grandpa & Lita Love

This is more random Grandpa love, and I hate that my mom is always doing something when she's here because it means I get a disproportionate number of pictures of Grandpa.  I need to make a better effort to get more pictures when we're in Texas this November.
I love this picture of my dad with Timmy, it reminds me of a picture of him and I that we have somewhere in the house.  This is the closest picture I have to it.  He might have my eyes, what do you think?

My parents were never the "lets read before bed" sort of folks, but the girls don't let that stop them one bit. Dad even sat down for a tea party after a busy day working in the basement.

Welcome Lita & Grandpa Visit

The morning my parents were to arrive my father got a little upset at the mention of them taking Marta upon their arrival.  So to make sure we started the visit out right, we pulled out all the stops.

I cut out some letters with my nifty silhouette cameo, and had the girls make a poster welcoming our folks; hence the backwards D.

Took a trip to the dollar store and bought balloons, a clapper, and noise makers.  In hind sight the noise makers (at the airport) were not the wisest decision, as I spooked everyone coming up the escalator including my folks.

But you can see the look on their faces were priceless.  Totally worth the skipped nap and traffic there and back. :)

We were all happy to see them, we miss them a great deal.

Tea party for Mr.Cary

The girls could not wait to set up high tea for our soon to be Uncle Cary.
And I could not wait to try out this meatloaf recipe...so yummy.

Abigail turns 3!!!

I spent a good bit of today pondering the day that Abigail came into this world.  It was full of drama, but at the end of the day none of it mattered because Tim & I held our perfect little girl in our arms.  It seems like only yesterday I held her in my arms for the first time.

How would I describe Abigail at three? She is very curious and although she's small for her age, her personality is big.  I believe her teacher uses the word "spunky", she keeps everyone in check and doesn't take anything from anyone. One of our favorite things she does is ask "what dat?" or "for meee?". She's a Princess to the "T", always insisting on wearing pretty dresses and bows in her hair.  She loves her music and is ready to put on a dance show for anyone who will pay attention.

This years party was Princess Ice Cream.   We rented an ice cream truck & Abigail had a great time passing out ice cream to her friends.

Here is our fun crowd of cousins, siblings, and friends....it was a good time had by all.

It's not a birthday party without cake!  After all that sugar, I wouldn't be surprised if a few choice words were said about us during bed time.  My girls were hyped up, that's for sure.

At her three year check up my little mouse weighed in at 26lbs 6oz & is 36in high.  Which puts her at 9% in weight and 26% in height.   We went up on the growth chart, although still has a long way she's catching up.

Little readers

Not sure what warms my heart more, that my girls like to share a bed or that they love to read.

Best Dad goes to....

Timothy Andrew Walker.  Just when I am at my wits end with the stresses of life I find this:
This is just one of the many reasons I love my husband.  He's a wonderful father.
