Easter Sunday 2015

Gone are the days of thoughtful posts.  Although blessed beyond measure, we've got our hands full. :)  Here are a few random pictures of our Easter Sunday.  Ted and Amanda were kind enough to host this year, and of course a fun time was had by all.

Pre-Easter Activities

In usual Walker fashion we jammed packed Easter Weekend with all sorts of activities, none of which compare to painting eggs and watching our children as they sort through their Easter Baskets.

Here is one of our favorite pictures, Timmy was very excited about his bubble gun.

Much like Santa at Christmas, the meaning of Easter often gets mixed up with Easter bunnies and egg hunts.  To keep the meaning front and center we make a point to sit down and read our Jesus Story Book Bible.

Life Really Is Better at The Ranch

We went to the ranch a couple of times this Fall, and here are our pictures from our first trip.  Life does seem so much simpler there, no worries just pure family fun.

My Little Gymnast

I bought a Groupon at a local gymnastics gym thinking I would use it for Isabella or Abigail.  The availability didn't quite work out, so I used it for a Mommy and Me for Timmy.  I remember doing such things with Isabella back when I had all the time in the world, but now that seems more like a luxury.

I am so glad I had those four fun visits to the gym with this little guy, he was the most fun!   His favorite thing at the gym was the running trampoline that lands you in a ball pit, but I wasn't able to capture it on camera.  Hope you enjoyed seeing his smiling face as much as I did.

Virtual Lemonade Stand - Please Stop!!!

After receiving a prayer request from missionaries in Iraq, I was brought to tears.  The thought that adults and children are being persecuted for their faith is heart breaking.  Realizing that tears help nobody, we decided to run a lemonade stand for Samaritan's Purse who are out in the trenches helping refugees in amazing ways.  I didn't get into details with the girls, I felt like they are too young to know everything that is occurring, but they do know that families in the Middle East are being hurt and run out of their homes because of what they believe.

Because we don't live near many of you, I wanted to take our lemonade stand virtual. I encourage you to read more about what is going on in the Middle East, and consider donating to Samaritan's Purse. It's a very simple process just, click here.

Here are a few pictures and narration of how our lemonade stand went:

The girls made their own sign (with a little help from me), and were very helpful setting up.  They were so excited to sell their first cup to our neighbors.

They even held up our sign asking people to stop.   It was a tough lesson in rejection, because A LOT of people zipped right past those two cuties.  We just reiterated to them that we were not doing it for us, but for people who need help.  We raised a little money and had a teachable moment with our kids.

First Day of School 2015

How time flies.  Here are Isabella, Abigail, and Timmy on their first day of school.  Isabella was beyond ready for Kindergarden, she came back so excited about her new teacher (Ms. Wickland & Ms. Inez) and friends.

Abigail loves her teachers Ms. Carrie and Ms. Joy and has many of the same friends as last year, so what more could the girl ask for.

Timmy, was the biggest surprise.  I had prepared all the teachers for a hysterical crying fit, but he matured in a short time and was totally fine.  Don't ask about his hair....I am still experimenting with his hair some days are better than others. :)

Wear old sneakers or swim shoes and goggles might be a good idea for those with sensitive eyes.
